This year we will feature the best of the best as Team USA athletes will be attending the tournament along with disabled veterans and other visually impaired athletes. What is Goalball?

The sport of Goalball was started after World War II as a rehabilitation activity for wounded veterans. It is now a Paralympic sport played around the world by both visually impaired athletes and their sighted peers. Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for athletes with a vision impairment. Participants compete in teams of three and try to roll a ball with bells embedded inside of it into their opponents’ goal, using ear-hand coordination, as all participants are blindfolded to allow for a level playing field.
