Evaluation Council Member

STRIVE4You seeks professionals and community members to serve on our internal Evaluation Council to review, monitor and approve all academic and training materials, courses and certifications offered by STRIVE4You’s various programs. By ensuring that these are of the highest standard possible, the council establishes integrity and legitimacy for our programs.

Term

Volunteers in this position will serve a minimum of a one-year term.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be an outgoing and enthusiastic, team-oriented individual
• Works well independently and can self-manage and complete tasks on time
• Holds great evaluation and critical thinking proficiencies
• Possess excellent reading and comprehension skills
• Possesses good judgment skills
• Possesses strong proofreading/editing skills
• Possesses communication skills
• Has experience in teaching or education, performance evaluation, training, course or content development

Lines of Communication

Reports to Council Chairperson

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviewing, evaluating and approving educational and training materials for all STRIVE4You program offerings, including curriculums, lesson plans, course evaluation criteria, etc.
• Evaluating assessments and recommendations and giving final approval for all instructor certifications within STRIVE4You programs
• Ensuring all in-person and virtual courses/trainings offered by STRIVE4You meet education standards, provide content that effectively achieves course objectives and are intelligible and beneficial to the end user
• Periodically evaluating both the course’s and the student’s progress to make recommendations for effective course improvements
• Objectively processing grievances and concerns related to certification and evaluations as part of the STRIVE4You appeal process

Time Commitment

The ideal candidate for this volunteer position is available 2-4 hours per month.
