STRIVE4YOU, through our ARISE program and our Healthy Veteran Healthy Tomorrow Initiative, is proud to partner once again with the Visual Impaired Services Team at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery VA Medical Center and the VA National Sports & Special Events Program to facilitate another ARISE Adaptive Sports Day!! Adaptive Sports Days are engaging hands-on mini clinics that give participants a unique opportunity to experience one or more adaptive activity(s), first-hand, through the perspective of someone with low vision/blindness. These events provide participants with an excellent educational opportunity by introducing them to the exciting world of recreation and sports.

- Tandem Cycling
- Beep Kickball
- Disc Golf
All activities are FREE of charge to Disabled Veterans/VA Support Team Members. and we welcome non-veteran participants to join us for this day of fun as well! We will be taking a walk for lunch to the Cock of the Walk restaurant by the park and back. Lunch is included for veterans and VA staff; however non-veterans must cover their own lunch. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes to play in. We hope you will join us for this community wide event as we introduce the exciting world of adaptive sports and recreation for the low vision/Blind to your community!
